Billy Costa has been side-by-side with Matty in the Morning since
the early days of KISS 108. As host of our daily Entertainment
Updates, he is the man-in-the-know when it comes to Hollywood gossip
and juicy news stories. He also provides live broadcasts from major
events like the Oscar's and the Grammy's.
Billy grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He attended Merrimack
College on a hockey scholarship and enrolled as an English major.
Soon, however, he realized it wasn't his bag, so he transferred to
Emerson College. He lost the hockey scholarship and the money, so he
began DJing a live radio show at a local nightclub. He loved it, and
a radio star was born! He joined the Emerson radio station as a
phantom DJ.
After graduation, he put in a brief stint at WBOS. Then in 1980,
Billy approached KISS with the idea of doing Lifestyle/Entertainment
News. He agreed to work for free in order to prove the audience
appeal for Hollywood information. After a couple of months he was
hired part-time, and shortly thereafter full-time. Billy's been at
KISS ever since!
Billy is now the well-received host of the "KISS Top 30 Countdown of
Today's Hit Music" which is aired on KISS every Saturday morning.
His accomplishment's include an Emmy nomination for an Evening
Magazine Special on
WBZ-TV, and a Children's Television Award for
Rap Around.

and spending time with his family.
